The Program Objective (PO) of Bachelor of Education in Biology

The Bachelor of Education in Biology has three specialization programs: (1) Biology Educators, (2) Research Assistants in Biology Education, and (3) Entrepreneurs in Biology Education.

1. Graduate demonstrate competencies as prospective senior high school biology teachers/educators who are excellent, creative, and innovative, while upholding the values of piety, independence, and intellectuality
2. Graduate demonstrate skillfull in conducting research that contributes to solving problems in biology education, particularly through the development of learning resources based on local wisdom
3. Graduate demonstrate skillfull in conducting entrepreneurial insight and competencies, either independently or collaboratively with others, in the field of biology or biology education, and are capable of contributing to the surrounding community in an accountable, credible, and transparent manner

The Program Learning Outcomes (PLO) of Bachelor of Education in Biology

Program Learning Outcome in Bachelor of Education in Biology has four main aspects (Attitudes, Knowledge, Special Skills, and General Skills).

1. Attitudes

• Apply religious and human values in fulfilling educational duties.
• Apply attitude of living in society, nation and state based on Pancasila.
• Apply a responsible, independent attitude, entrepreneurial attitude, leadership, adaptive in carrying out tasks.

2. Knowledge

• Apply the biological sciences and supporting subjects (mathematics and natural sciences) for educational applications.
• Apply TPACK principles in biology education.
• Apply ICT in biology education effectively.

3. Special Skills

• Communicate and collaborate effectively in oral and written forms
• Apply managerial skills in biology education-related professions
• Foster professional competence through training, work experience, or further education

4. General Skills

• Conduct laboratory and fieldwork independently with accuracy and safety
• Plan, implement, and evaluate biology education programmes in schools
• Apply research methodologies in biological sciences and biology education and their applications
